Hi there, my name is Mouhanad Babi and I'm a microscopy imaging specialist at McMaster University's Centre for Advanced Light Microscopy. Since high school, I have used graphic design as a tool for communication and expression, often in the context of science. I believe that visually depicting scientific concepts, methods and findings is one of the most effective ways of transferring scientific knowledge due to its simple and holistic nature of connecting ideas. Technicalities aside, it is also important that we make science look good, so as to captivate and hopefully inspire the reader about the work being presented. Overall, scientific illustrations plays a critical role in the communication and ultimate impact of scientific research.
It is therefore my mission to leverage my skills and passion in graphic design to increase the impact of scientific research through visual illustrations.
